W3Make.it at Digital&BIM Italia

Come find us at the first national event about Digital innovation and re-shaping of the Built Environment

On October 19th and 20th, W3Make.it’s staff will be present at the Digital&BIM Italia fair in Bologna Fiere, the only Italian exhibit and information initiative devoted solely to the transformation of the construction sector through digitization, technology and innovation.

The exhibition area

Access Pavilion 33 from the Aldo Moro entrance and discover the exhibition area dedicated to companies that offer technology, systems, services and digital solutions in construction.

You will find us at the stand of MAK-ER, the FabLab network of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

In the exhibition area, each company will present new tools for digitized procedures and site building, such as design softwares, 3D printers, drones, virtual reality headsets, digital manufacturing, IoT technologies.

And in an area dedicated to experimentation, you can actually try them: digital photography as a design and documentation tool, digital airborne surveying and laser scanner surveying, how to build an innovative model from digital surveying of various sizes, 3D and digital printers for constructions.

International conference and networking

In this two days, an international conference will be held in five sessions: “BIM, Digital and the evolution of construction in Italy“, held by Top Speakers and guests from Europe and the USA.

Digital & BIM Italia addresses manufacturers, start-ups, public administrations, universities, BIM managers, utilities, designers. It will be an opportunity to discuss and learn about best practices and the latest digital news of the market, discover the latest products and the most innovative solutions. It will be a chance to network with the world’s leading engineers, experts of energy recovery and reclamation, and consultants in real estate.

W3Make.it at the Research2Business Exhibition

On 8th and 9th of June, the W3Make.it staff will attend the Research2Business exhibition, the 12th edition of the International Industrial Research Exhibition at Bologna Fiere. You will find us at MAK-ER, the booth of the the Emilia-Romagna Region Fab Lab network.

The # R2B2017 services are divided into several thematic areas and the exhibitors are ready to present new technologies and skills that can improve business in growth and competitiveness. Some of the topics that are going to be discussed are the country’s innovation, the infrastructures ability to regenerate and create new centers of knowledge, research excellence and new technologies at the service of businesses and citizens.

In these two days we will especially take part in Innovat&Match, an event dedicated to bilateral meetings with customers, suppliers and enthusiasts. This is an initiative organized by ASTER in collaboration with CNA Emilia-Romagna, Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, ENEA, Eurosportello – CCIAA of Ravenna, Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, to enable companies to find international partners and to conclude research and technology agreements .

The Urban Laboratory of Ravenna

A meeting about the starting courses and new projects

On Thursday, April 20 2017, Engr. Marco Guardigli, the President of our consortium, is going to present the W3Make.it project at the “Open laboratory for the city that we want” meeting, at Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna.

It is an important meeting with the engineers of the Emilia-Romagna Region and analysts from the Ernst & Young company, during which the technical level of the City of Ravenna will be analyzed and compared to the Smart City Index. It is going to be a chance to learn more about the situation of our territory in comparison to national and regional trends and to share the experiences of different realities, as well as draw inspiration for the implementation of new services.

W3Make.it will be part of the “SMART Projects in Ravenna” section, during which some realities of Ravenna that have invested their resources to make the city and its services more and more smart, will talk about their projects and future goals.

Main theme of the event will be the Open Laboratory of Ravenna, a workshop of ideas and cultural centre located in the MAR, the Art Museum of the city of Ravenna, which will have as its main purpose to design services for the enhancement and better integration between the cultural and tourist attractions of our city.

EU B2B @MILAN DESIGN WEEK

W3make.it will take part in one of the best matchmaking events worldwide

On the 5th and 6th of April you can find us at one of the central events of the Milan Design Week: EU B2B. It is a major matchmaking event, organized by CNA Lombardia to allow companies and startups to meet potential partners interested in developing cross-border business collaborations or partnerships for European projects.

The B2B event will be hosted by “Manifattura 4.0”, a special exhibition on product design on the first floor of Milan BASE, in Via Bergognone 34, one of the Fuorisalone historical spots.

Opening Event W3Make.it Fab Lab

It is with great pleasure, that we inform you of the opening event for the W3Make.it Consortium Fab Lab. The event will be held on February 3rd in our operational headquarters in Via Fratelli Lumière 46 / A, Ravenna.

On the day, we will welcome you from 10.30 am to 11.00 am to take you on a full tour of our new Fab Lab. Several industry experts will be at your service to show you the most innovative machines of the lab, while in our Smart classroom dedicated to training courses we are going to talk about some of our projects with schools of the W3Make.it network.

At 12:30 we will also be serving a small buffet for all the guests.
